What to watch on TV tonight: Monday

Here are the shows that’ll be on your Twitter timeline this evening.

Every lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

The Late Late Toy Show Unwrapped (RTÉ One, 7pm)

It’s Toy Show week! To celebrate, RTÉ One are screening three programmes this week looking back on the best moments from the Toy Show. Tonight’s episode covers the early years of the programme, as hosted by Uncle Gaybo, and we hear from people who appeared on the show as toy testers. We’re excited already.

Simply Nigella (BBC Two, 8.30pm)

Following last week’s egg and lettuce debacle, we’re looking forward to seeing what preposterous dishes and double entendres Nigella serves up tonight. #SimplyNigella

Live At The Apollo (BBC Two, 11.45pm)

Tonight’s installment of the comedy showcase features Noel Fielding, Dane Baptiste and none other than our very own Al Porter taking to the stage of the Hammersmith Apollo. Not bad for a young lad from Tallaght, is it? #COYBIG

Everyone’s talking about… SNL’s Adele sketch

Over the weekend, Adele performed on Saturday Night Live and inspired a rather excellent sketch called A Thanksgiving Miracle.

The sketch pokes fun at how Adele can make family gatherings less awkward on account of being universally beloved and is hilarious.

Or flick over for…

  • Republic of Telly (RTÉ Two, 9.55pm) The show pokes fun at You Should Really See A Doctor tonight.
  • The Joy (TV3, 10pm) The series on Mountjoy Prison continues.
  • I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! (UTV Ireland, 9pm) Welcome to the jungle, we’ve got fun and games. (And kangaroo testicles to eat, probably.)
  • University Challenge (BBC Two, 8pm) Get ready to feel like the class dunce for half an hour.
  • Storyville: Cartel Land (BBC Four, 10pm) A gripping documentary about two vigilante groups fighting cartels on both sides of the US border.
